Location: On-site at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, United States; remote work opportunities are minimal because the role supports a secure facility. Moderate travel of approximately 30% is required.

What you will do
- Lead systems engineering integration for advanced EO/IR capabilities supporting ACAT I acquisition programs.
- Develop and refine Requirements Verification Matrices for new system releases with program office personnel.
- Analyze engineering designs, laboratory data, and flight-test results to validate release requirements.
- Review milestone decisions, engineering documentation, OEM RFI responses, and proposed solutions to design defects.
- Support technology transition from research laboratories into integration and acquisition phases.
- Contribute to MBSE models, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science and at least 20 years of systems engineering or closely related experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- Advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in EO/IR systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EO/IR standards, procedures, and engineering practices.
- Ability to perform technical work and oversee junior and journeyman personnel.
- Ability to work on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB in a secure facility.
Nice to have
- At least 10 years of Department of Defense or Department of War experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with the F-22 platform and avionics systems.
- PMP certification or INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional credential.
- Experience with DoD weapon systems engineering, acquisition processes, U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft systems, or aerospace engineering.
