Senior Counsel, Global Alliance (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office at Abbott Park in North Chicago, Illinois, or hirify.global campuses in Irvine or South San Francisco, California.

Base salary: USD 160,500–305,000 per year, depending on factors including geographic location and experience.

What you will do

• Shape and manage strategic external collaborations from discovery through commercialization across Aesthetics, Toxins, and Eye Care.
• Align legal strategy with portfolio objectives alongside Global Alliances, asset strategy, disease strategy, and R&D leadership.
• Interpret, draft, review, and negotiate licenses, collaboration agreements, co-development agreements, co-promotion agreements, and complex R&D contracts.
• Advise business leaders and senior management on legal matters related to partnered pharmaceutical and aesthetic products.
• Evaluate, structure, and negotiate new collaborations while supporting due diligence and integration planning.
• Work cross-functionally with research and development, corporate strategy, business development, commercial, intellectual property, litigation, governance, investor relations, and public affairs teams.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and compliance with professional licensing requirements in the state of practice.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with life sciences or pharmaceutical transactions, global collaborations, or pharmaceutical and aesthetics product development.
• Experience at an Am Law 100 firm or in-house at a large pharmaceutical or life sciences company.
• Understanding of scientific, development, regulatory, and commercial concepts across early- and late-stage development programs.
• Advanced legal analysis and communication skills, sound business judgment, initiative, and the ability to resolve critical legal and business issues quickly.
• Availability to work from an hirify.global office at least 3 days per week in North Chicago, Irvine, or South San Francisco.
