Frontend Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: On-site in Arlington, VA, with work at contractor facilities in Chantilly or Herndon, VA

Work on a large-scale NextGen space resiliency and flight safety program with a complete architecture, platform, tooling, microservices, and integrated verification and validation system.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and modify application software.
• Design new UI features and build frontend functionality.
• Create microservices and REST integrations using Node.js libraries.
• Support system design, solution engineering, and software development efforts.
• Maintain, support, and enhance existing systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts, project managers, and other engineers while supporting junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Frontend development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.
• Professional experience with Vue and REST APIs, including REST calls using Node.js libraries such as Express or Axios.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Experience with unit testing and developing, managing, and securing Docker and ContainerD containers.
• Senior level: 10 years of software engineering, software development, or systems engineering experience and a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Mid-level: 5 years of software engineering or software development experience and a relevant bachelor's degree.

• Linux command-line experience and knowledge of Kalman filtering.
