Environmental Coordinator (Environmental Compliance)

What you will do

• Coordinate compliance with federal, state, local, and installation environmental requirements.
• Manage compliance with hazardous waste, environmental permits, stormwater, and hazardous materials programs.
• Develop and implement the Environmental Health & Safety plan and train personnel to respond to environmental hazards.
• Conduct environmental health and safety audits, inspect satellite accumulation areas, and verify waste segregation and storage compatibility.
• Coordinate with hazardous waste disposal companies to remediate environmental hazards.

Requirements

• BA degree in environmental engineering, health education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least three years of directly related environmental compliance experience.
• Experience analyzing inspections or surveys and developing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene, environmental management systems, safety and occupational health management, and applicable 40 CFR requirements.
• US citizenship with proof is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, US Passport, military base access, and Common Access Card.
• Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator License and a finding of “NO RECORD” on the FBI Police Record Investigation are required.
