Senior Product Manager (Machine Learning)

Location: Hayes Valley, San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with remote work on Monday and Friday and office attendance Tuesday through Thursday.

Annual base salary: $190,000–$240,000, plus annual performance bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own product strategy, vision, roadmap prioritization, and the full development lifecycle for the Machine Learning pod.
• Define and prioritize 0-to-1 AI-driven product initiatives across optimization, ETA prediction, traditional machine learning, and generative AI.
• Improve ETA prediction accuracy and other model performance metrics while addressing technology constraints limiting business growth.
• Partner with ML and infrastructure engineers, data scientists, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and develop product prototypes.
• Drive the transition of pilots and proofs of concept into production, including monitoring and maintenance.
• Define go-to-market and adoption plans for AI capabilities across Ryder’s freight and customer-facing platforms.

Requirements

• Experience owning product strategy and roadmaps for technically complex or ML/AI-driven products.
• Experience building 0-to-1 products and shipping traditional ML or generative AI products.
• Experience taking initiatives from proof of concept through production, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Fluency in ML/AI concepts sufficient to prioritize effectively and build trust with engineering teams; hands-on technical PM experience is not required.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical stakeholders, strong data-driven analytical skills, and the ability to execute with minimal guidance.

Nice to have

• 6+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of product management experience.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally in freight, logistics, manufacturing, or another operationally complex industry.
• Experience partnering with MLOps or ML infrastructure teams.
• Comfort working in ambiguous, dynamic, and fast-growing startup-like environments.
