TL;DR
Mission Interface / Orbital Analyst (Space Operations): Supporting Poland Space Operations Center operations through orbital analysis, space object characterization, operator guidance, and customer-facing coordination with an accent on space domain awareness, orbital mechanics, and time-sensitive operational decision-making. Focus on analyzing maneuvers and conjunction events, improving operational workflows and tools, and training analysts and operators.

Location: Hybrid, mostly remote, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado; office requirements are minimal for local candidates. Core support hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM local time in Poland, with minimal travel as needed.

Salary: $165,000–$205,000 annually for the state of Colorado.

What you will do

  • Support Poland Space Operations Center operations, including planning, execution, and post-event reviews.
  • Perform orbital analysis using state data, orbital parameters, maneuver indications, and space domain awareness information.
  • Characterize satellite behavior, maneuvers, perturbations, custody changes, conjunction events, and anomalous space object activity.
  • Prepare concise assessments, briefs, and recommendations for time-sensitive operational decisions.
  • Identify workflow gaps and tool deficiencies, and coordinate requirements refinement with software and mission teams.
  • Train, mentor, and advise analysts and operators while developing job aids, checklists, procedures, and training materials.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of professional experience in orbital analysis, space domain awareness, space operations, astrodynamics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Working knowledge of orbital elements, satellite state solutions, maneuver characterization, perturbation forces, and space operations data products.
  • Ability to deliver accurate and defensible analysis within mission timelines and work independently in a mostly remote environment.
  • Experience briefing, instructing, mentoring, or guiding personnel with different technical backgrounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing communication and cross-team coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an engineering-related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with military, civil, allied, commercial, or coalition SSA/SDA operations, including USSF or JCO-related environments.
  • Familiarity with sensor tasking, conjunction assessment, custody maintenance, mission planning workflows, or operational software requirements.
  • Experience documenting operational procedures, playbooks, training products, or lessons learned.
  • Polish language familiarity and a master’s degree in engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field.
