Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue.js/TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid or remote, with listed locations in Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Manchester, United Kingdom; occasional travel to client sites or CreateFuture offices may be required.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain scalable, accessible and performant frontend applications with Vue.js and TypeScript.
• Lead technical design and architectural discussions, making maintainable and resilient engineering decisions.
• Develop component libraries and design systems focused on reusability, accessibility and consistency.
• Champion clean code, automated testing, documentation, code reviews and performance optimisation.
• Lead delivery across multiple initiatives and translate client challenges into practical technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers, facilitate technical discussions and explore AI and automation approaches that improve software delivery.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with modern TypeScript, Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia or Vuex, and Vue Router.
• Experience with component-driven development, design systems, Storybook, REST and GraphQL API integration.
• Experience with Vite or Webpack, automated testing using tools such as Vitest, Jest, Cypress or Playwright, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of responsive and accessible UI development, WCAG standards, CSS architecture and frontend performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git, cloud platforms or static hosting, observability tooling and package managers such as npm, yarn or pnpm.
• Ability to lead projects, make architectural decisions, coach engineers and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
