Jr. Structural Engineer (Revit)

Location: On-site in Syracuse, New York, United States

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Determine structural loading criteria, perform design calculations, and prepare structural specifications.
• Conduct field investigations and document findings for structural design, repair, rehabilitation, and performance evaluation.
• Develop structural concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer.
• Produce construction documents using Revit and BIM workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering and architectural disciplines on education, municipal, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and other projects.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform field observations during the construction administration phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework.
• Engineering in Training Certificate (E.I.T.) required.
• 1–5 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and structural engineering design software such as RISA, SAP, and/or TSD.
