Firmware Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Annual base salary: USD 121,900–195,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement low-level firmware modules, middleware, and diagnostic software for PHY chipsets.
• Drive software design and development for new products while maintaining legacy systems.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex firmware applications in embedded C/C++.
• Collaborate with system, analog, and digital hardware designers across the full development lifecycle.
• Provide leadership in architectural governance, design patterns, and code hygiene.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of industry experience focused on digital communication systems, high-speed SerDes, or HBM protocols highly preferred.
• Strong coding and debugging experience in C/C++.
• Experience with pre-silicon/RTL and software co-simulation environments.
• Hands-on experience with lab hardware platforms and silicon bring-up is highly desirable.
