Laboratory Technician I

What you will do

• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily records of laboratory work and quality control activities.
• Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system.
• Perform laboratory testing, including sample preparation where applicable, while meeting sample turnaround targets.
• Verify results and submit them for transmission to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, and report proposed solutions to the supervisor.
• Follow laboratory quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow quality management requirements, SOPs, local work instructions, and analytical methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, clients, and other departments.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food sciences, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
