What you will do

• Independently perform sterility, endotoxin, particulate matter, and other microbiological testing in a cleanroom environment.
• Plan sample collection and testing schedules, reconcile samples after incubation, and maintain chain of custody through receipt, aliquoting, storage, and shipping.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and cleanroom systems, reporting calibration failures and repair needs.
• Evaluate and review microbiological data, communicate results, and draft or review SOPs and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in clean laboratory operations, preventive actions, continuous improvement, and cross-technology education programs.
• Support pharmaceutical and biotech client projects, cross-functional collaboration, and training and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant microbiology or laboratory experience.
• Relevant microbiology laboratory experience, preferably in quality control, pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical environments.
• Expertise in one or more of sterility testing, endotoxin testing, antibiotic assays, environmental monitoring, microbial identification, or microbial limit testing.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety rules, ISO 17025, cGMP, cGLP, A2LA, and quality-control requirements.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom wearing head-to-toe PPE, stand for extended periods, and handle laboratory equipment and chemicals safely.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Biological Safety Cabinets and in cleanroom environments.
• Experience in cGLP- or cGMP-regulated laboratories.
• Master’s degree in Microbiology and Molecular Cell Sciences or a related field.
