Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct defect-related experiments, including tool preparation, designed experiment execution, and wafer handling.
• Design simple 2D and 3D structures for tool testing.
• Analyze particle experiment data using Python, MATLAB, Excel, JMP, or similar analytical tools.
• Present conclusions and recommendations through graphs, summaries, and technical presentations.
• Develop a defect library from large volumes of historical data.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to define and execute effective experiments.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experimental or laboratory research experience.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and interest in advanced statistical analysis.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, MATLAB, JMP, or Excel.
• Experience with 2D/3D design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, written communication, and technical presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor process development, plasma physics, vacuum systems, contamination control, or defect-related studies.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem solving.
• Experience with large experimental datasets, data libraries, databases, or data management systems.
