Director, Data Science - Product Management (AI/ML)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid working policy applies

Base salary: $273,000–$409,600 USD per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution of a portfolio of data science products across the full lifecycle.
• Translate business priorities into problem statements, investment cases, product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Advance capabilities such as customer lifetime value, player lifecycle intelligence, forecasting, simulations, audience intelligence, and decision automation from discovery to production.
• Define success metrics and quality standards covering business impact, adoption, reliability, interpretability, model quality, sustainability, and decision quality.
• Partner with Data Science and Analytics leaders on experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, incrementality measurement, model evaluation, and value analysis.
• Lead and develop Data Science Product Managers while influencing senior stakeholders and building a hypothesis-driven, evidence-based product culture.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in digital product management, data product management, AI/ML product management, analytics product management, or related roles.
• 6+ years of people management experience leading Product Managers or senior product-oriented analytics leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex portfolios involving Data Science, ML Engineering, Analytics, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, predictive modeling, forecasting, segmentation, recommender systems, lifecycle modeling, productionization, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, Snowflake, Spark, feature stores, MLOps tools, model monitoring, APIs, and analytics platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming, digital commerce, subscriptions, marketplaces, streaming, or consumer technology.
• Experience with customer intelligence, player lifecycle analytics, personalization, experimentation, audience intelligence, or growth optimization.
• Experience building product management capabilities, teams, or operating models from the ground up.
• Experience using generative or agentic AI to improve product workflows and decision-making.
