Forward Deployed Engineer (Healthcare Integration)

Location: Dania Beach, Florida; Centennial, Colorado; or Remote USA. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year

hirify.global is building Aqurio, an intelligent communications and AI automation platform for ambulatory healthcare.

What you will do

• Build, configure, test, and deploy AI voice agents for patient-facing healthcare interactions.
• Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for athenahealth and ModMed integrations.
• Design bidirectional workflows for appointment discovery, locking, booking, confirmation, cancellation, and rescheduling through native EHR and PMS APIs.
• Conduct workflow discovery with practice administrators and clinical informatics leads across dental, eye care, GI, and urology practices.
• Develop lightweight Python and TypeScript connectors, data transformations, and webhook listeners.
• Lead technical onboarding during customer pilots, validating scheduling logic against live clinic calendars and resolving edge cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in healthcare technology, including EHR and practice management platforms and HIPAA data handling.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based agent development, prompt engineering, and production RAG patterns.
• Knowledge of voice technologies including ASR/TTS configuration, telephony integration, DTMF handling, and latency-sensitive response tuning.
• Experience contributing to engineering standards such as testing frameworks, build checklists, documentation templates, or reusable component libraries.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required; visa sponsorship or transfer of employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with hirify.global SmartFlow, Genesys, Amazon Connect, Nuance, or similar CCaaS/CPaaS platforms.
• Experience with athenahealth MDP APIs, ModMed Developer APIs, Dentrix, Open Dental, RevolutionEHR, or Eyefinity.
