Senior CAD Semiconductor Engineer (EDA Flow & Infrastructure)

Location: Remote, limited to Odesa, Lviv, Rivne, or Kyiv, Ukraine

What you will do

• Define, deploy, maintain, and own EDA flows for digital, mixed-signal, simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, DFT, and signoff activities.
• Evaluate, benchmark, qualify, and deploy EDA tools, releases, and methodologies from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens EDA.
• Design and operate Linux compute farms, distributed storage, backup and disaster-recovery systems, and FlexLM/Flexera license servers.
• Develop automation for tool installation, configuration, regression execution, resource provisioning, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with design, verification, and physical implementation teams to optimize flows, debug tool issues, and improve turnaround time.
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities for scripting, log analysis, debugging, knowledge retrieval, and workflow optimization, including hybrid cloud and on-premises AI infrastructure.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–15+ years of experience in CAD, EDA, or semiconductor infrastructure.
• Strong experience with full EDA flows, tool deployment, flow ownership, tool qualification, release management, and regression validation.
• Strong experience with Linux-based EDA compute farms, distributed storage, CI/CD, monitoring, performance optimization, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Practical scripting and automation experience with Python, Perl, Shell, and TCL, plus familiarity with Git or SVN and DevOps practices.
• Strong ownership, autonomy, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and the ability to bridge semiconductor design and infrastructure domains.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO26262 or DO-254.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM tools such as Copilot, OpenAI, Gemini, or Mistral.
• Experience with RAG, hybrid GPU infrastructure, object-oriented programming, and infrastructure as code.
