Staff Frontend Engineer, Market Data (Fintech)

Location: Reno, NV; hybrid work arrangement. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead UI modernization across the Market Data team and contribute to the Instrument Master migration.
• Evaluate legacy components, research modern frontend frameworks and libraries, and implement updated UI patterns.
• Define frontend strategy, coding standards, and quality practices while mentoring early- to mid-career engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers and adjacent teams to translate user needs into technical specifications and unify shared capabilities.
• Partner with backend engineers to define API specifications and data contracts and resolve frontend/backend data-flow issues.
• Refactor legacy code, improve maintainability, and implement automated testing strategies to increase coverage.

Requirements

• 10+ years of frontend development experience, including leadership of UI modernization initiatives.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, UI component libraries, and design patterns.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Jest, automated testing strategies, code quality tools, and coding standards.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers, migrating legacy systems, managing technical risk, and working in an agile environment.
• Ability to define frontend/backend API specifications and collaborate across engineering teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• AWS or cloud-native application experience.
