Robotics Engineer (Space)

What you will do

• Develop core robotic technologies for cooperative and non-cooperative capture, docking, inspection, refueling, repair, life extension, and assembly in orbit.
• Support the development of robotics simulation, testing capabilities, and test facilities.
• Define modular and scalable robotics products and deliver robotic solutions to schedule, cost, and performance requirements.
• Define and execute validation, verification, and test plans.
• Interface with customers, partners, and subcontractors, and support proposal writing for future business.
• Develop robotics applications.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Robotics, Embedded Electronics, or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, or embedded electrical engineering.
• Understanding of robotics foundation theory.
• Understanding of motor control and experience with embedded software and programming.
• Programming experience in Matlab/Simulink, Python, or C/C++.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the space industry.
• Comfort interacting with institutional customers, including ESA, EC, and LSA, as well as commercial customers.
• Familiarity with the full space program lifecycle, from business development, proposal generation, and contract negotiations through design, development, assembly, testing, and successful delivery.
