Senior Staff Engineer, Autonomy Software Integration & Test (Autonomy Software)

Location: On-site in London, with primary operational support in the Lviv region and travel to other locations within Ukraine for demonstrations, testing, and field operations.

What you will do

• Develop, debug, and maintain production software for autonomy, mission execution, system integration, and flight operations.
• Integrate autonomy software onto fixed-wing, multirotor, and other unmanned or autonomous platforms.
• Build internal tools, automation, telemetry analysis pipelines, and test infrastructure in C++ and Python.
• Support software bring-up, system configuration, mission readiness, and ground control station operations.
• Perform simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL, ground testing, live flight testing, demonstrations, and post-flight analysis.
• Collaborate with autonomy, systems, hardware, and flight test teams to troubleshoot and validate capabilities in field environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics, aerospace, electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development and integration experience in robotics, autonomy, aerospace, embedded systems, or related fields.
• Strong C++ and Python experience, including software development, debugging, and system integration.
• Experience with Linux, hardware-software integration, field or flight testing, and troubleshooting cross-disciplinary systems.
• Familiarity with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, QGroundControl, or related unmanned systems technologies.
• Ability to travel within Ukraine as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous aircraft, unmanned systems, SIL, HIL, VIL, simulation, or flight test environments.
• Familiarity with ROS, DDS, embedded or real-time systems, RF communications, datalinks, and networking.
• Experience with flight controllers, avionics, aircraft integration, telemetry analysis, or operational deployments.
• Background in defense, robotics, aerospace, or autonomous systems.
• Ukrainian and English language proficiency.
