Maintenance I - B/Day Shift

Location: Hermiston, Oregon, USA; onsite at the plant

Pay rate: $33.72 per hour

What you will do

• Repair, overhaul, adjust, and troubleshoot mechanical and technical production equipment.
• Replace belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, and other equipment components to support uninterrupted production.
• Perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision and maintain accurate work documentation and time records.
• Set up and perform structural welding and cutting using SMAW, MIG, TIG, and oxy-acetylene equipment.
• Read technical prints, diagrams, sketches, operating instructions, and equipment manuals.
• Support plant safety, 5S, Centerlining, equipment start-up and shutdown, and training for lower-bracketed mechanics.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or one to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, shop tools, welding equipment, and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and man lift safely; plant certification is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds six feet above the ground, climb, work in confined spaces, and operate in hot, cold, wet, noisy, and hazardous plant conditions. A valid driver’s license and compliant driving record are required.
