Director, Cloud Operations

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Base compensation: USD 220,000–250,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead Cloud Operations teams across North America, including the United States and Canada, and maintain reliable production cloud services.
• Drive infrastructure implementation and optimization across AWS, GCP, and Azure, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Design secure multi-cloud networking solutions covering connectivity, traffic management, load balancing, and network security.
• Manage middleware and data services including PostgreSQL, Apache Ignite, Redis, Elasticsearch, Flink, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
• Own production escalations, incident resolution, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and collaboration with Support, Development, QA, and engineering teams.
• Build and scale the Cloud Operations organization through mentoring, technical capability development, automation, observability, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• BS-level technical degree required; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred.
• 8+ years of CloudOps or DevOps experience and 5+ years of management experience.
• Experience architecting highly available and scalable cloud services, with hands-on experience in AWS or another public cloud.
• Knowledge of Linux, security, networking fundamentals, containers, and deployment automation using Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
• Experience diagnosing complex application problems and working with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Ignite, RabbitMQ, and monitoring tools such as Nagios, Kibana, and Prometheus.
• Employment visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.
