Senior Accountant (Renewable Energy)

Company

Provides end-to-end asset management services for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar energy portfolios, including operations and maintenance, billing, customer support, asset performance management, and investor reporting.

What you will do

• Maintain general ledger accounting for multiple asset-managed portfolios in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare periodic journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for management, external auditors, service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Implement accounting processes for newly onboarded portfolios using historical financial information and relevant operating, transaction, and debt agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration.
• 3+ years of financial accounting or auditing experience; Big Four experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in US generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication, multitasking, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Overtime availability as required.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 805 accounting concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, or Ramp.
• Experience with multi-tiered legal structures and partnership accounting.
