Senior Platform Engineer (AI Security)

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the United States

What you will do

• Lead security tooling across application security, dependency and software supply chain security, artifact and container security, cloud security posture, and policy-driven workflows.
• Build, integrate, and operate platforms such as GitHub Advanced Security, JFrog Xray, Prisma, Black Duck, and Checkmarx.
• Design automation for vulnerability detection, dependency hygiene, patch planning, remediation tracking, and governed security workflows.
• Translate security policies into delivery-pipeline guardrails, practical controls, and developer-friendly workflows.
• Improve the developer experience by reducing security-tooling noise and clarifying remediation steps.
• Lead security initiatives, proofs of concept, OKR execution, and the adoption of AI-enabled engineering tools with appropriate controls.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or production software engineering.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Go, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with code scanning, dynamic testing, software composition analysis, secret scanning, container or image scanning, artifact security, cloud security posture management, and policy enforcement.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, dependency management, and security controls in software delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, cloud platforms, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering or security tools, including LLM APIs, agent-based workflows, or AI-assisted coding tools, plus awareness of data leakage, prompt injection, shadow AI, and enterprise AI policies.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance-driven environments.
• Experience supporting AI-assisted or internally built security automation.
• Experience balancing security risk reduction with engineering velocity.
