Location: Santa Monica, California, United States, or remote within commutable distance of the office for occasional in-person collaboration.
Salary: $186,000β$215,000 annually.

What you will do
- Evaluate AI software development lifecycle and spec-driven development frameworks, deciding whether to adopt an existing solution or build an internal platform.
- Architect and build the platform across spec authoring, agent orchestration, validation gates, tooling, and supporting services.
- Own the roadmap from prototype through company-wide rollout and make spec-driven development the default engineering workflow.
- Instrument adoption, delivery velocity, and workflow friction metrics to guide platform improvements.
- Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, Kubernetes, and deployment infrastructure integrations.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineering and Security Engineering on model selection, context design, agent guardrails, authentication, and auditability.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience building or driving organization-wide adoption of development platforms and internal tools.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication, product judgment, and the ability to build buy-in across DevOps, MLE, Security, and Engineering leadership.
- Strong judgment about where AI can meaningfully accelerate software delivery.
