Principal AI Platform Infrastructure Architect

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid workplace model with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

What you will do

• Define the enterprise architecture roadmap and publish reference architectures for agent orchestration, identity, gateway and policy services, model hosting, and agent-runtime environments.
• Lead agentic infrastructure decisions across programs, products, and platforms while resolving risk, cost, and cross-domain tradeoffs.
• Establish standards for security, resilience, observability, performance, cost management, operational readiness, and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Architect complex multi-domain agentic initiatives and document technical decisions, dependencies, constraints, and business impacts.
• Build prototypes and reference implementations to validate emerging agentic AI and generative AI infrastructure patterns.
• Guide platform, security, and infrastructure engineering teams and mentor architects and infrastructure engineers.

Requirements

• Experience owning architecture decisions for complex enterprise- or portfolio-scale infrastructure initiatives spanning multiple technical domains and delivery teams.
• Hands-on experience designing or validating infrastructure for agentic AI platforms, including several of agent orchestration, workload identity, gateways, policy enforcement, model hosting, or agent-runtime environments.
• Broad infrastructure architecture experience across cloud platforms, security and identity, networking, compute, or platform engineering.
• Experience building prototypes or reference implementations and converting validated findings into reusable patterns and production-readiness criteria.
• Experience applying continuous integration and continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, configuration management, automated testing, and observability.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, with the ability to communicate architecture tradeoffs to technical and executive stakeholders.
