IAM Governance Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Assess the effectiveness of Identity and Access Management controls and identify governance or control gaps.
• Support risk assessments, remediation activities, regulatory commitments, and process improvements.
• Review, challenge, and monitor risk management practices, including emerging risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Maintain risk inventories, governance documentation, metrics, KRIs, dashboards, and executive reporting packs.
• Coordinate committees, forums, meetings, and collaboration across Technology, Control Owners, Audit, Compliance, Operations, and senior leadership.
• Support the implementation of risk policies, standards, procedures, controls, and risk awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of IAM controls, industry standards, and regulatory requirements including SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, FCA, FDIC, or RBI.
• Strong risk assessment and analytical skills, including identifying control gaps, evaluating risk impact, and challenging assumptions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex or sensitive IAM and risk information clearly to executives.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, metrics, trend analysis, dashboards, or detective monitoring.
• Working knowledge of IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Entra ID (Azure AD), CyberArk, or similar technologies.
• Ability to manage risk, strengthen controls, advise decision-makers, and contribute to policy and procedure development.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating complex remediation programs and change or transformation initiatives.
• Experience preparing governance packs, risk summaries, KRIs, and executive-level reporting for senior leadership and governance forums.
