Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain modeling and simulation software for mission analysis, scenario development, and system performance assessment.
• Build integration solutions connecting simulation software with models, tools, and system interfaces used across Redstone Test Center programs.
• Create and customize models for sensors, aircraft, communication systems, and other aviation components.
• Develop algorithms for system behavior modeling, mission logic, and sensor and avionics representation.
• Support Agile and Scrum development processes and coordinate software interfaces with systems engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with software and simulation engineers to deliver modeling and simulation solutions for government customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, computer science, computer engineering, or another technical discipline.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of real-time simulation frameworks, military simulation systems, and modeling methodologies.
• Experience using software development environments with Agile methodologies.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with CDS3, AFSIM, OneSAF, or similar modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience with DIS, TENA, HLA, or other distributed simulation protocols.
• Experience in Live, Virtual, and Constructive test or training environments.
• Experience with U.S. Army Aviation modeling and simulation tools.
