Staff Engineer, Operations Analysis (R4757)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas or Washington, DC, United States

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for full-time regular employees.

What you will do

• Perform operational analysis of autonomous aircraft systems across component, system, mission, and campaign levels.
• Develop and run modeling, simulation, wargaming, and force-on-force analyses for military scenarios and contested environments.
• Conduct trade studies and sensitivity analyses covering system performance, threats, assumptions, and operational conditions.
• Build, modify, and analyze mission-level models using AFSIM, STK, MATLAB, Python, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, DoD stakeholders, operators, and analysts to translate findings into system insights and concepts of operations.
• Prepare technical documentation, analysis reports, and briefings while maintaining reliable, reproducible analysis pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field.
• 7+ years of experience in operational analysis, modeling and simulation, operations research, defense, aerospace, or a related field.
• Active Secret clearance at minimum, with an active Top Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain the required clearance is necessary.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
• Experience with operational analysis techniques, military operations, modeling and simulation, and data science.

Nice to have

• Experience with force-on-force analysis, CONOPS development, military campaign modeling, or design reference missions such as OCA or SEAD.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, Brawler, ESAMS, JCIDS, and military operational testing.
• Experience serving as an analysis task lead on DoD programs.
• Experience with systems engineering product development, SysML, or MBSE.
• Experience providing critical analysis for system design, integration, and testing.
