Senior Database Administrator (PostgreSQL)

What you will do

• Design, architect, and operate scalable data infrastructure for high-throughput financial operations.
• Administer, tune, and continuously improve PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch, including backups, recovery, replication, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Own performance monitoring, observability, and proactive incident management in production.
• Partner with product and cross-functional teams to deliver customer value and balance technical trade-offs with business priorities.
• Provide technical guidance and promote best practices through knowledge sharing and peer reviews.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in database administration with deep expertise in PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience solving large-scale infrastructure problems for systems serving millions of users.
• Strong background in production reliability, high availability, disaster recovery, replication, and performance tuning at scale.
• Experience working in large and complex technical ecosystems with database management and data-streaming expertise.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, observability, and incident management in production environments.
• Ability to navigate technical and organizational dependencies and align technical strategy with business priorities.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, particularly StatefulSets for stateful workloads.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, TimescaleDB, and Altibase.
