Software Integration Engineer (Simulation)

What you will do

• Lead system integration testing and resolve cross-system technical issues.
• Coordinate integration activities against program schedules, technical baselines, and interface requirements.
• Maintain system architecture and integration diagrams, including system inputs, outputs, data requirements, and message formats.
• Verify interoperability, data exchanges, and messaging behavior across distributed systems and simulation environments.
• Prepare technical artifacts and coordinate sprint demonstrations, integration events, and technical reviews.
• Analyze network latency, bandwidth, and message timing across distributed environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or large and complex DoD programs.
• Strong software engineering experience integrating or developing real-time or simulation-based applications.
• Experience with data flows, system interfaces, validated ICDs, data models, system architecture, and interface requirements.
• Experience with M&S, C2, distributed system integration, interoperability, HLA/DIS/SISO standards, simulation gateways, protocols, and data distribution services.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or large and complex DoD programs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud-based DevSecOps environments, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Experience with DoD simulations such as AFSIM and OneSAF, or commercial simulations such as MAK One, VR Forces, MUSE, or Pitch.
