Software Engineer - .NET / APIs

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; fully onsite with no remote option

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain C#/.NET applications, REST/gRPC APIs, and microservices.
• Develop distributed systems and asynchronous processing workflows for real-time data processing and analytics.
• Model, query, and optimize data in SQL Server and MySQL.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and DevOps engineers to deliver features from design through deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and software quality improvements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and integrations with messaging systems.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably focused on backend development.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience building APIs and microservices architectures.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server or MySQL.
• Familiarity with GitHub, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to event-driven systems and message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Frontend experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with large-scale data or analytics platforms.
