Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; fully on site with no remote option and no travel requirements.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain C#/.NET applications, REST/gRPC APIs, and microservices.
• Develop distributed systems and asynchronous processing workflows for real-time data processing and analytics platforms.
• Work with SQL Server and MySQL on data modeling, queries, and optimization.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and DevOps teams in Agile delivery from design through deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and quality improvements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Docker-based application containerization.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant professional software engineering experience, preferably backend-focused.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience building APIs and microservices architectures.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server and MySQL.
• Familiarity with GitHub, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to event-driven systems or message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Front-end experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with large-scale data or analytics platforms.
