Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.NET)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in Cincinnati, Ohio or Denver, Colorado; not eligible for remote work. Candidates must be US citizens or valid Green Card holders.

What you will do

• Lead technical designs for new features and services, including investigation, code analysis, development, testing, and release.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps, and other stakeholders to select solutions within system constraints.
• Investigate live-system issues and propose root-cause solutions.
• Assess architectural impacts on security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Define system requirements and modifications with product managers and users.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in SAFe and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 7+ years of experience delivering software solutions and 4+ years of experience in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and an understanding of business drivers and emerging technology trends.
• Experience deploying and managing distributed applications and services on cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience designing and developing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS, including microservices architecture and API development using .NET 6+.
• Expertise in developing cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, using Azure and hybrid cloud environments, and managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• US citizenship or a valid Green Card; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data.
• Ability to lead internal engineering discussions on improving Azure Data Services and own the input end to end.
