Transaction Principal, EU (Data Center)

Location: London, UK. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance.

Annual salary: £1–£1 GBP.

What you will do

• Lead RFPs, commercial sourcing, developer outreach, proposal evaluation, and competitive selection for European data center capacity deals.
• Negotiate term sheets and manage LOI processes, translating technical and business requirements into commercial agreements.
• Drive transactions from LOI through executed lease by coordinating legal, finance, engineering, network, deployment, and government-relations stakeholders.
• Manage due diligence, transaction timelines, critical-path items, risks, and requirements for deal closure.
• Oversee digital infrastructure development activities through construction-ready status and coordinate projects, capital stacks, and developers.
• Document and refine transaction processes and playbooks while feeding deal insights into European market strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution.
• Strong negotiation skills involving term sheets, LOIs, and commercial agreements, plus experience with RFPs and competitive sourcing.
• Experience across European markets, including data center and development landscapes such as FLAP-D hubs, the Nordics, or Southern Europe.
• Ability to work across different legal frameworks, languages, business cultures, and time zones while coordinating with US-based headquarters and European partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or hyperscale infrastructure transactions and AI/ML workload requirements such as power density, cooling, and network connectivity.
• Knowledge of utility coordination, power procurement, renewable PPAs, grid connections, data sovereignty, and European sustainability regulations.
• Experience with complex lease negotiations, infrastructure investment, corporate development, strategic partnerships, or high-growth technology infrastructure expansion.
• Relationships with European data center developers, operators, or brokers.
