Transaction Principal, EU (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: London, UK; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Lead RFPs, commercial sourcing, developer outreach, proposal evaluation, and competitive selection for European data center capacity.
• Negotiate term sheets and manage LOI processes through executed leases and closed transactions.
• Coordinate legal, finance, engineering, network, deployment, and government-relations stakeholders throughout due diligence and execution.
• Manage transaction timelines, critical-path items, risks, and requirements for construction-ready digital infrastructure developments.
• Navigate country-specific permitting, grid connection, power, regulatory, and development requirements across European markets.
• Document and improve transaction playbooks while feeding deal learnings into European market strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, infrastructure procurement, or a related field.
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution.
• Strong negotiation skills involving term sheets, LOIs, commercial agreements, and lease transactions.
• Experience with RFPs and competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure or real estate transactions.
• Experience across European markets and familiarity with data center and development landscapes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience; strong communication and project-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or hyperscale infrastructure transactions and AI/ML workload requirements.
• Knowledge of power procurement, utility coordination, grid connection queues, renewable PPAs, and European energy regulations.
• Experience with data sovereignty, infrastructure investment, corporate development, or strategic partnerships.
• Relationships across the European data center developer, operator, or broker ecosystem.
