Equipment Maintenance Technician (C-Shift Days) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the Malta, New York, USA site; alternating 12-hour day and night shifts may be required.

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year, determined by qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes in the assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets according to operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions, document events, and complete end-of-shift handoffs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, and computer/software skills.
• Work with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians to communicate equipment status and resolve issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom for extended periods, including wearing required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
• Ability to work alternating 12-hour shifts, stand and walk for extended periods, use hand tools, climb, bend, kneel, and lift equipment or tools; loads above 50 pounds require a two-person lift.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent education in engineering technology, military training, or a trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with structured troubleshooting, problem-solving, statistical process control, and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
