Senior Data & Functional Business Analyst (Lease Applications)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and define functional and data requirements for lease application processes with business stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and use cases for development teams.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data across financial software systems.
• Map current business processes and data flows, then design optimized future-state models.
• Lead user acceptance testing, perform SQL-based data validation, and verify deliverable quality.
• Manage milestones and backlog priorities, coordinate cross-team implementation, and provide post-deployment functional support.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or data-driven consultant.
• Independent experience writing and executing complex SQL queries.
• Strong requirement-gathering, process-mapping, and functional-specification writing skills.
• Experience with testing, QA, and data validation activities.
• Fluent French at B2 level or higher is required for stakeholder communication.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial systems, lease applications, or banking processes.
• Business Analysis or Data Analysis certifications.
• Experience working in agile environments with international teams.
