Salary: $90,000–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, document, qualify, deploy, and sustain modular and scalable automated test equipment and associated fixtures.
  • Develop mechanical frameworks, tooling, fixtures, vacuum and pressure piping, and gas panel designs using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Create and oversee mechanical concepts and solutions for new test systems and continuous improvement projects with test and product design engineers.
  • Prepare design reviews and communicate technical information about system design, performance, and test software status.
  • Create and maintain test-stand documentation, including interface diagrams, bills of materials, layouts, 3D models, facility requirements, and assembly drawings.
  • Reverse-engineer legacy test systems and develop reliable, ergonomic designs for high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably with automated test equipment.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD modeling and technical drawings, primarily using SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability, design for assembly, poka-yoke, and repeatable production assembly.
  • Understanding of mechanical fabrication processes, materials, machining, welding, casting, additive manufacturing, and assembly.
  • Ability to manage engineering changes, revision control, BOMs, ECOs, and temporary deviations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
