Software Engineer II

Location: Remote within the United States; work is performed from the colleague’s home, with occasional in-person team meetings possibly required.

Salary: $102,069–$163,311 per year.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, debug, document, implement, maintain, and support software applications.
• Develop program logic for new applications and analyze or modify logic in existing systems.
• Maintain, test, and integrate application components and ensure system improvements are implemented successfully.
• Participate in planning and analysis for software development projects and translate business requirements into product designs.
• Write technical specifications, recommend technical alternatives, and streamline systems and processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical product managers, and internal partners; provide guidance to other technical professionals when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education, training, or work experience.
• Typically 2–5 years of application development experience.
• Knowledge of end-to-end software development life cycles, including waterfall, iterative, and agile approaches.
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, time-management, attention-to-detail, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support the workers’ compensation industry.
