Junior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Colombia; Pacific time zone working hours are expected.

What you will do

• Build and maintain frontend and backend features for AI-centric web applications.
• Implement user interfaces according to design specifications using clean, documented code.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and relational databases.
• Debug frontend and backend issues and write unit and integration tests.
• Follow Git workflows, security practices, and internal development standards.
• Participate in stand-ups and code reviews while using AI tools and the Nova ecosystem to improve delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of a modern web framework and JavaScript, TypeScript, or an equivalent language.
• Basic understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git and standard version-control workflows.
• Advanced spoken and written English required for daily documentation and communication.
• Ability to participate in code reviews, receive feedback, ask for help, and learn quickly.
