Software Engineer, Summer Intern Spain (AI)

Location: Students must be based in Spain; the internship runs from June to September 2027. Most days are expected in the Milan office during the first few months, after which remote work from approved countries may be agreed at the offer stage.

Typical annual salary offers elsewhere in Europe range from €66,065 to €107,837; exceptionally experienced candidates may receive up to €240,330 annually.

What you will do

• Build and ship software used by millions of customers, taking ownership from idea through production.
• Integrate AI tools into design, implementation, testing, and documentation workflows.
• Work across diverse technology stacks and choose appropriate tools for each engineering challenge.
• Develop and evolve systems ranging from monoliths to microservices, using technologies such as gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Rust.
• Simplify architectures, pipelines, and codebases to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Based in Spain and available for the June–September 2027 internship.
• Strong reasoning ability and the capacity to solve complex problems from first principles.

• Proficient English in reading, writing, and speaking.
