Software Engineer, Summer Intern Italy (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; applicants must be based in Italy. Most days must be spent in the Milan office during the first few months, after which office-based or remote work from approved countries may be agreed at the offer stage.

Salary: €66,065–€107,837 annual compensation range for Europe; exceptionally experienced candidates may receive up to €240,330. Permanent-contract candidates may receive part of their compensation in discounted company equity.

What you will do

• Build and ship software used by millions of customers, taking ownership from idea through production.
• Integrate AI tools into design, implementation, testing, and documentation workflows.
• Work across diverse technology stacks and choose appropriate tools for each engineering challenge.
• Develop and evolve monoliths, microservices, APIs, and production systems at scale.
• Simplify architectures, pipelines, and codebases to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Outstanding student based in Italy.
• Strong reasoning ability, including solving complex problems from first principles and handling important details.
• High ambition, initiative, ownership, tenacity, and commitment to demanding work.
• Collaborative, reliable, honest, and transparent team-oriented approach.
• Proficient spoken and written English.
