Associate Legal Counsel (UK&I Transactions)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; primarily from home with an emphasis on in-person collaboration

What you will do

• Provide legal advice to business stakeholders on complex commercial activities.
• Negotiate, draft, analyze, and review IT services, outsourcing, software licensing, and related contracts.
• Support RFPs and new business opportunities with pursuit teams serving UK and Ireland customers.
• Manage contractual deadlines and communicate with internal clients about legal and commercial issues.
• Follow governance procedures, prepare contract risk analysis reports, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research, interpret contracts, develop legal positions, and use advanced AI tools to optimize response times.

Requirements

• Degree in Law.
• Full professional fluency in English at C1 or C2 level is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Understanding of contractual and commercial elements of IT or outsourcing services agreements and software licensing agreements.
• Strong legal and commercial reasoning, teamwork skills, and commitment.
• Ability to work primarily from home without immediate line-manager oversight, while supporting a work model that prioritizes in-person collaboration.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree obtained in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
• Experience in a global, cross-functional team within an IT company or a law firm focused on IT contracts.
• Knowledge of services, service levels, pricing, payment provisions, performance and payment risks, and security requirements.
