MLOps Automation Engineer Lead (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Automate the data, analytics, and model development lifecycle, including unattended build and delivery pipelines.
• Develop and improve CI/CD automation for containerized workloads running on AWS EKS.
• Provision Kubernetes environments with AWS EKS and Terraform in response to changing processing demand.
• Design and maintain infrastructure for ML model deployment, including containerization, resource optimization, OAuth 2.0, security, and disaster recovery.
• Build automated testing and production model feedback mechanisms, and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Lead, coach, and mentor team members while coordinating with development, operations, QA, security, architecture, and data engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with a coding language such as JavaScript, C++, Python, or Java; CI/CD tools; and platforms including AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Strong automation scripting, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience with agile development and DataOps or ModelOps principles.
• Ability to work independently across multiple tasks and meet aggressive timelines.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes experience, including AWS EKS, GKE, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, RBAC, network policies, cluster hardening, service meshes, and multi-environment clusters.
• Knowledge of EKS networking and storage, IRSA, EKS add-ons, vulnerability management, observability with Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch, and backup and disaster recovery.
• Kubernetes certification such as CKAD or CKA, plus financial services experience.
