Analytics Engineer

What you will do

• Design and maintain efficient ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data into clean, usable models.
• Implement best-practice data modeling techniques to ensure performance and accuracy.
• Develop comprehensive data quality checks, tests, and monitoring scripts.
• Collaborate with analysts and business users to optimize data models for analytical use cases.
• Build scalable, compelling data visualizations in Looker.
• Optimize SQL queries to improve data warehouse performance.

Requirements

• Must be based within commuting distance of London or Barcelona.
• Multiple years of experience in a data-focused role such as Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or BI Developer.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker.

Nice to have

• Python expertise for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with semantic layers and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices applied to data.
