Analytics Engineer I - AI & Data Enablement

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid, with the freedom to work from home two days a week

What you will do

• Design reliable datasets and data models that support business decisions across global teams.
• Write production-grade SQL transformations using version control, testing, and data quality practices.
• Contribute to AI-assisted workflows through prompt design, context grounding, validation, and responsible AI usage.
• Partner with Data Analysts, Product Managers, business stakeholders, and data teams to solve business problems.
• Automate manual workflows and help build accessible, trusted data products.
• Progressively take ownership of small data products and AI-enabled data initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in analytics or data engineering, BI, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
• Solid SQL fundamentals, including joins, aggregations, and debugging.
• Working knowledge of Python and basic Git practices.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, and granularity.
• Above-average literacy with GenAI tools for coding, analysis, or workflow automation, with the ability to validate outputs and use AI responsibly.
• Fluent English required. Strong communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and collaboration skills are also expected.

Nice to have

• Exposure to BigQuery, dbt, Looker, or similar tools.
• Experience with prompt iteration, code review support, data exploration, workflow automation, or AI output evaluation.
• Understanding of APIs, data pipelines, process improvement, automation, process intelligence, or operational analytics.
• Experience from professional, internship, academic, or personal data, analytics, or AI projects.
• Interest in responsible AI, data governance, privacy, and data quality.
