SQE-Forging and Raw Material

Location: Based in Shanghai, China; the job posting also lists Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Travel of approximately 20% is required.

What you will do

• Support onboarding of new suppliers through capability analysis and supplier risk assessment.
• Lead product and process qualification for suppliers of components and systems, with a focus on forging and raw materials.
• Plan and implement supplier quality assurance measures throughout the supplier lifecycle.
• Drive supplier quality improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Apply quality and risk management methodologies to prevent issues and strengthen supply chain resiliency.
• Support component development, design-change evaluations, localization, sourcing strategy, sustainability, and process digitalization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience as a quality, manufacturing, or design engineer.
• Practical manufacturing experience, preferably with forging; raw-material experience is an advantage.
• Experience in technical functions within the energy, oil and gas, or a related industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and quality and risk management methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; based in Shanghai and willing to travel approximately 20%.
