FIG Business Development Associate (Fixed Income)

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 base salary plus a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Support business development and growth initiatives for the U.S. Financial Institutions Group insurance channel.
• Analyze insurance companies, industries, competitors, investment flows, product growth, and market penetration.
• Develop client strategies, business plans, marketing materials, model portfolios, and investment approaches.
• Lead or support requests for proposals and due diligence questionnaires.
• Participate in prospect meetings, client interactions, conferences, and marketing outreach.
• Coordinate onboarding of new mandates across investment, operations, compliance, legal, marketing, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial services, asset management, investment banking, investment consulting, actuarial consulting, accounting, or insurance-balance-sheet strategy.
• Strong background or interest in public and private fixed income, economics, and fixed-income instruments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, SNL Financial, query tools, index-provider databases, and SQL.
• Strong analytical, written, oral communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Series 7 and Series 63 must be completed within the first six months of employment.

Nice to have

• Progress toward the CFA or CAIA designation.
• Enrollment in an MBA or master’s degree program.
