Head of Transfer Agent Oversight – Americas

Location: Newport Beach, California; New York, New York; or Austin, Texas, USA

Salary: $215,000–$260,000 base salary annually, plus a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead the transfer agent oversight function across the Americas, setting priorities, allocating resources, and managing execution.
• Manage executive relationships with transfer agents and related service providers, including service reviews, KPI and SLA assessments, and reporting to senior management and governance committees.
• Ensure transfer agency operations comply with regulatory requirements, fund policies, prospectus disclosures, and servicing standards across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
• Oversee vendor due diligence covering operational, financial, technology, cybersecurity, and business continuity risks.
• Monitor shareholder servicing, cash management, regulatory document delivery, control processes, incidents, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Lead process improvement, automation, operating model enhancements, data and reporting improvements, and the practical use of AI-enabled oversight tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or relevant industry certification is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in asset management, transfer agency, fund administration, fund operations, service provider oversight, or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of transfer agency operations, shareholder servicing, intermediary distribution models, and fund operating structures.
• Strong understanding of U.S. registered investment companies, ETFs, closed-end funds, interval funds, and collective investment trusts.
• Demonstrated experience with third-party service provider relationships, vendor governance, operational risk, process improvement, and technology-enabled change.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, balance competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
