Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems.
• Build REST APIs and engineer microservices for fintech products.
• Develop greenfield systems and improve existing business-critical platforms.
• Work on card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity systems.
• Apply clean code, test-driven development, domain-driven design, and continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements

• Demonstrable backend development experience with fluency in Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or another scientific discipline.
• Track record of building complex products used by millions of people in hypergrowth startups.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
