Senior Java Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build, modernize, and enhance a critical enterprise Master Data Platform.
• Design and develop high-performance Java backend services for demographic and entity data management.
• Work with GraphDB and Scala-based components to manage complex data relationships and processing.
• Support distributed big data systems with continuous, real-time data processing.
• Build and optimize systems for transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and fraud detection.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, data integrity, and consistency across business-critical workloads.

Requirements

• Strong Java experience, including concurrency, JVM, and JMM.
• Experience building streaming data architectures and working with big data technologies and distributed processing.
• Knowledge of data meshes, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong Kubernetes experience; experience building Kubernetes operators is especially relevant.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Solace, MQ, GraphDB, Scala, Docker, OpenShift, or public cloud platforms.
• Experience with Java profiling and troubleshooting, Mongo, or FX risk calculations.
• Understanding of data governance, master data management, and real-time processing systems.
• Experience working on highly critical, large-scale enterprise platforms.
