Buyer (Semiconductor)

Location: Bangalore, India; relocation eligible; travel up to 10%.

Materials engineering company developing and servicing equipment used to manufacture semiconductor chips and advanced displays.

What you will do

• Purchase materials, supplies, machinery, and services for manufacturing facilities.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, requests for quotation, and purchase orders.
• Manage purchase-to-pay activities, receipts, deliveries, payment approvals, and procurement records.
• Monitor inventory and MRP signal changes, follow up on orders, and manage shortages through expediting.
• Analyze vendors, compare offers, negotiate with suppliers, and identify cost savings.
• Maintain purchasing policies, procedures, material control systems, lead times, costs, and business-system data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–9 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in SAP MM and Excel.
• Experience with global supply chains, Built to Print and OEM commodities, and project or volume purchasing for production.
• Experience as an engineering buyer using SAP ERP and managing purchase-to-pay processes.
• Cross-functional collaboration skills and willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
