QA Engineer (Optics)

What you will do

• Plan and manage product quality, qualification, design validation, and quality documentation, including acceptance tests, inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support New Product Introduction, specification development, verification, production transition, and process or production yield improvement initiatives.
• Manage customer returns, complaints, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, effectiveness verification, and customer quality performance reporting.
• Participate in Material Review Board activities and resolve nonconforming materials, product concessions, deviations, and manufacturing quality issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on material quality, documentation, audits, containment actions, SCARs, first article inspections, control plans, GRR, and Cpk reports.
• Support quality-system training, certification-body and customer audits, internal and supplier audits, and measurement-system capability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; an associate degree or diploma with at least five years of manufacturing experience may also be considered.
• At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment; optics industry experience is strongly advantageous.
• Experience with customer and supplier quality management, NPI process management, and product quality planning.
• Experience in ISO cleanroom or similar GMP environments and in change control and management processes.
• Hands-on certified-auditor experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 QMS is highly desirable.
• Background in life sciences, medical, semiconductor, optronics, or avionics manufacturing is advantageous.
